Ese a\u00f1o, durante las obras de remodelaci\u00f3n del Paseo de San Telmo \u2014dirigidas por C\u00e9sar Manrique\u2014, se eliminaron las dos terrazas existentes: la del Rancho Grande y la del Hotel Cariver. Desde entonces, ning\u00fan obst\u00e1culo se interpone entre el paseante y la impresionante vista del Boquete.
