Antes de la inauguraci\u00f3n del San Felipe en 1966, se construy\u00f3 el puente que salvaba el barranco y se extendi\u00f3 la Avenida de Col\u00f3n hasta el borde mismo del acantilado, transformando para siempre la fisonom\u00eda de la zona.
